Introducing MyBrewBuddy

A number of MyBrewbot customers with larger brewing spaces asked us to find a way to overcome the difficulty of linking up Tilts, Smartplugs and pressure sensors over a bigger areas. MyBrewbuddy is the answer to that.

How to make the MyBrewbot platform transmit and repeat information over an extended space without having to use two MyBrewbot controllers and two smartphone instances of the same application. Bringing all the data together into the same, single application.

Solution

By utilising the same wifi network that the MyBrewbot controller is linked to we use this to send and receive information. MyBrewbuddy has a very simple wifi setup interface and the readings from probes, Tilts and PSI sensor are transmitted to the controller which 'detects' them in the same way as for sensors physically attached to the controller or within bluetooth range.

Existing MyBrewbot customers who have bought two MyBrewbot controllers can migrate one of their controllers to MyBrewBuddy to use one, unified interface.
